The Data Entry Specialist will work from home inputting and adjusting ticket allotments and show advisories using our online system. This job would be well suited to someone who is great at: data entry with accuracy, navigating a web-based content management system and doing online research.

This position reports to the Editorial Manager and Director and requires the candidate to work according to editorial guidelines and be extremely detail oriented. In addition to inputting ticket types, prices and allotments with speed and accuracy, this position requires very small amounts of writing and editing in accord with company style and voice. There is a required week of paid in-house training at our office in Pasadena, Calif.

The person who fills this position will work set hours and may be asked to put in additional hours depending on the amount of work we have available. There is some flexibility in the schedule, and specific hours will be set together with the selected candidate.

Living in the Los Angeles area is not required, but is preferred for ease of in-person meetings and ongoing training.

This is a part-time contractor role.

Requirements

The successful candidate is likely to be:
*Experienced in web-based data entry
*Have a background in banking, accounting, shipping/logistics, box office backend or similar
*Detail-oriented and fast
*Patient and helpful; eager to find solutions
*A friendly, effective communicator; good at working with a team
*Highly competent in using web functionality
*A strong self-manager; able to create checklists, reminders and other personal resources to optimize your workflow
